This album features songs from the hit Broadway musical, Annie, based upon the popular comic strip Little Orphan Annie.  A favorite among theatre-goers, Annie won seven Tony Awards in 1977 including Best Musical and Best Score. When Annie won Best Musical, its composer, Charles Strouse, was already well known for his other Tony-winning musicals: Bye Bye Birdie and Applause.

This album features all live instruments. There are 23 tracks on this album: Tracks 1-12 contain the background tracks and guide vocals; tracks 13-23 contain the background tracks alone. All Stage Stars albums are re-recorded by professional singers and are in the original show tempos and keys.
